This is the key role within Logistics Finance for a cluster of countries within Northern Western Europe (NWE). Manager needs to ensure key processes are managed in a timely and effective manner, working with the Centre of Excellence and with the Area controller to deliver auditable and accurate processes and results.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Manage and execute aspects of finance planning and performance management process and related financial decisions potentially including Strategic Plan and Annual Contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling and decision support for a focused scope within a region, business unit, country, Supply Chain, Mondelēz International Business Services or Corporate Finance team. You will own data collection and verify data integrity
  • Ensure a strong controls and compliance environment in your area of scope and ensure full compliance with our policies
  • Help the senior manager and the business prepare critical financial data and insight that enable perspectives for business strategies and decisions
  • Lead projects to improve efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a high-performing Finance team. You will also invest in personal development and the development of Finance peers and drive our Finance talent agenda within the organization, with a focus on local FP&A pipeline


What you will bring

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including data collection and structuring, analyzing, planning and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and investment decisions and cost management to achieve financial targets
  • BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business, consumer packaged goods industry, and local snacking market dynamics. Relevant experience in a regional/local business
  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including experience with business partnering and communication skills across a large regional or local public company
  • GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to identify/execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

Main focus of the role is to take full responsibility for the CS&L (customer service and logistics) Shipping P&L lines (Inbound, Outbound and Warehousing, Copacking and Waste) for a cluster of countries within NWE, to ensure that cost targets are achieved and to deliver the productivity agenda. This requires a thorough analysis of Actual P&L results, balance sheet variances, ownership of the monthly rolling forecast, preparation of an accurate and timely financial budgets/forecasts during major budgeting cycles (SepFC and OP) as well as tracking and reporting of gross productivity savings. Additionally there will be ad hoc projects for the respective cluster.

- Engage with business partner local operational teams, provide best in class finance support through excellent analysis, reporting and challenge

- Take responsibility for protecting the assets of the business through compliance to accounting principles, policies and internal controls

- Be able to work in detail and summarize / simplify the key take-outs and act in reverse

- Work autonomously

- Coach third party finance support

Education / Certifications:

Degree in Finance

Job specific requirements:

- Prior FMCG experience

- Robust FP&A/accounting experience

- Prior Finance Supply Chain experience preferred

- Strong analytical background

- Fluent spoken / written English

- Prior exposure with Shared Service Centre would be an asset

- Strong communication skills

- Highly motivated

- Advanced financial system skills (SAP, FiT, Excel…)

- Good in influencing and challenge business partner
