Traveling Electronics / Automation Technician

J Gruppen focuses on performing electrical and mechanical installations as well as maintenance work. Our head office is located in Sweden, but our operations extend across the world – Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

We are an independent and committed external contractor. Thanks to our strong reputation for delivering cost-effective and high-quality work performed by our skilled professionals, we are increasingly involved in projects for major international manufacturers of automated systems and integration specialists.

As an Automation Technician, you will:

• Install and troubleshoot hardware and control systems.
• Implement electrical systems for industrial machinery.
• Maintain and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems.
• Work on building, installing, and maintaining industrial equipment and electrical installations.

Your profile:

• Strong education in mechatronics, electronics, or mechanical installation.
• Willing to work internationally and travel as needed.
• Mandatory English skills, minimum level B1 (spoken and written).
• Category B driving license.

Minimum requirements & qualifications:

• Experience and education in industrial maintenance, with solid technical knowledge of electrical, automation, and transport systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electromechanical equipment (e.g., conveyors, robotics, servo systems).
• Proficient in using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Computer literate (Windows, MS Office) and capable of managing emails, databases, and documentation.
• Works safely, independently, and in a team, with initiative to solve problems beyond routine tasks.

Mandatory requirements:

• Citizenship of an EU country.
• Category B driving license.
• Good communication skills in English.

Merits:

• Category C or CE driving license.
• Certificates such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, welding, hot work, etc. All relevant certificates are considered a merit.
• Tax number from Finland, Norway, Sweden, or another country.

Salary & employment:

• Individual salary based on competence and experience.
• Full-time position (100%) with overtime as needed.
• Permanent employment.
