Senior Technical Product Owner Cloud & Infrastructure

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner within Cloud & Infrastructure for a long-term assignment in a modern, technology-driven organization with a strong cloud-first strategy.

Assignment Overview

In this role, you will lead the technical strategy, design and implementation of cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms. The assignment is critical to driving a cloud-first vision with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

The role requires a strong engineering and developer background. Due to the size and maturity of the team, the Product Owner is expected to contribute hands-on as part of the development team, while also owning the technical roadmap.

As an influential technical leader, you will ensure the delivery of secure, reliable and scalable cloud and on-prem hosting services, working closely with multiple teams and enabling strong automation practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Ownership

• Own and drive the technical roadmap for cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Deliver on a cloud-first strategy with a strong focus on automation and IaC
• Ensure high availability, performance, security and reliability
• Implement efficient, standardized and scalable provisioning processes

Technical Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with teams across Data & Analytics, Network Services and digital product teams
• Integrate infrastructure solutions seamlessly into the application landscape
• Enable and improve CI/CD and automation workflows using source control tools such as GitHub Enterprise
• Actively collaborate within technical lead and architecture communities across the organization

Mentorship & Enablement

• Provide informal mentorship to engineers, promoting best practices in cloud, IaC and DevOps
• Act as a technical thought leader, driving innovation and continuous improvement
• Encourage modern engineering practices and automation-first ways of working

Cost & Vendor Optimization

• Evaluate vendors, platforms and technologies
• Ensure alignment between performance requirements, scalability and cost efficiency

Required Experience & Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong experience with Azure architecture and services, including Functions, VMs, networking, storage, AKS and automation
• Deep hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Ansible principles)

DevOps & Observability

• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus or Zabbix

Product Ownership

• Proven experience with backlog management, prioritization, stakeholder collaboration and roadmap definition
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable and robust technical solutions

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering
• Proven delivery of large-scale automation and IaC initiatives
• Experience designing observability frameworks for complex, multi-environment platforms
• Strong background working with cross-functional teams including development, operations, security and business stakeholders
