Senior Transport Concept Consultant

You will conduct an independent transport feasibility and concept study supporting the final design phase of a new large industrial product intended for the global market. The goal is to secure a clear “green light for global transportation” by ensuring the product can be shipped worldwide in a robust, repeatable, and cost-effective way—without relying on exceptional or ad-hoc logistics solutions.

The study is advisory in nature and is intended to inform key design decisions prior to design freeze. It does not include execution planning or implementation of specific transport operations.

• Develop end-to-end transport concepts from the manufacturing site to customer locations worldwide
• Assess route feasibility from factory to port, identifying infrastructure limitations and regulatory constraints
• Identify key risks related to heavy and out-of-gauge (OOG) transport and propose mitigation strategies
• Establish indicative cost levels and map the main cost drivers for the logistics setup
• Evaluate sustainability aspects across transport modes and logistics alternatives
• Deliver clear recommendations and define boundary conditions required for a transport-ready, globally compliant product design

• Proven experience in heavy transport and out-of-gauge (OOG) logistics concept work and feasibility assessments
• Ability to perform route feasibility reviews, including infrastructure and regulatory constraint analysis
• Experience identifying logistics risks and translating them into practical mitigation strategies
• Capability to build indicative transport cost estimates and explain key cost drivers
• Experience evaluating sustainability aspects of transport modes and logistics setups
• Ability to produce clear advisory recommendations to support product design decisions

• Experience working with transport concepts for large industrial equipment intended for global delivery
