Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

You will strengthen a design team working with cable harness routing and installation for bus chassis within the Vehicle Cabling Architecture (VCA) area. The role focuses on developing robust harness installation solutions with high demands on feasibility, quality, and design reviews in a complex vehicle environment. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and production stakeholders in an agile setup.

• Design and route cable harnesses for bus chassis applications
• Develop installation designs and provide engineering support related to harness installation
• Perform and contribute to design and drawing reviews
• Work in an agile/Scrum-based development environment
• Collaborate closely with adjacent engineering functions and production stakeholders

• Strong experience in mechanical design of cable harness routing and installation
• CATIA V5
• Engineering background in Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team setup
• Professional working proficiency in English

• Swedish proficiency
• Experience with Saber
• Experience with Capital
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE (legacy and new environments)
• Previous Scania experience
