Drönarpilot

Monava is an acoustic machine learning lab turning sound into actionable intelligence for defense and security. Our current focus is alternative ways of detecting flying drones by replacing radars with microphones - microphones are undetectable, energy efficient, and cheaper, with shorter range as the main trade-off.

We are now looking to hire a Drone Pilot in the Gothenburg area to support flight operations and field activities.

About the role

As a Drone Pilot at Monava, you’ll be responsible for piloting drones during tests, trials, and field exercises. You’ll work closely with a technical team and contribute to safe, structured execution in real-world environments where conditions can change quickly. The role is hands-on and practical, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drone piloting during planned flights, tests, and field sessions
• Documentation of flights and relevant observations
• Coordination with the team before, during, and after missions
• Pre-flight checks and safe operation in accordance with procedures and regulations
• Basic equipment handling and ensuring smooth on-site workflow

Requirements

• Fluent in English or Swedish (spoken and written)
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying conditions
• Responsible, safety-minded, and structured in how you work
• Driving license

Meriting (nice to have)

• Access to a car
• Ukrainian language skills
• Drone license
• Other skills relevant to a startup: Programming, Design, Product
