Junior Software Test Engineer

You will join a positioning test team working with autonomous robotic products for outdoor environments. This role combines hands-on field testing with automation, with a focus on validating positioning performance and helping ensure stable, reliable functionality across software updates. You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to investigate issues, design new tests, and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple product areas.

• Test and validate RTK, GNSS, and EPOS positioning performance in different outdoor environments and conditions.
• Perform mainly manual field testing, including setup, execution, and first-line analysis.
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot positioning issues such as drift, loss of fix, accuracy deviations, and recovery behavior.
• Design and execute tests based on field feedback, findings, and new development needs.
• Build and maintain selected automated regression tests for positioning-related functions.
• Analyze logs and positioning data to isolate issues related to software, modules, environment, or integration.
• Collaborate with developers and other teams to prioritize issues and improve test methods.
• Contribute to test plans, traceability, reporting, and release readiness material.
• Support focused field sessions to uncover new edge cases.

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience working with positioning technologies such as GNSS, RTK, EPOS, or similar, as a tester or developer.
• Experience with field testing and analyzing technical logs and data.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate positioning behavior in real environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid driver’s license.

• ISTQB certification or equivalent testing knowledge.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, or outdoor mobile products.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated regression workflows.
• Experience with map-based analysis, positioning quality metrics, or sensors.
