Growth and Technical Development

Cool Carriers AB is entering a significant growth phase. Between 2026 and 2028, 12 new specialized reefer vessels will be delivered from leading Japanese shipyards, expanding our fleet to more than 60 vessels.

This expansion is supported by close technical cooperation with our shipbuilding partners in Japan, as well as ongoing development initiatives in China focused on next-generation, environmentally friendly reefer containers for onboard operations across diverse trading routes.

The Role

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Stockholm office. You will become part of a compact, high-performing team of nine professionals, working in a dynamic and international environment.

This is a key position where you will contribute directly to maintaining and strengthening our leading position within the specialized reefer segment.

Your Profile

In addition to being a collaborative and reliable team player, the ideal candidate will have solid and documented experience in several of the following areas:

• In-depth knowledge of specialized reefer vessels and their refrigeration systems
• Bachelor’s degree in marine technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Solid experience in maintenance and repair of reefer containers, including systems from major manufacturers such as MCI, Carrier, and Daikin
• Good understanding of Controlled Atmosphere (CA) systems and their operational application
• Good knowledge of environmental regulations and frameworks issued by the IMO, as well as applicable rules within the EU and the USA
• Understanding of current and upcoming IMO environmental requirements for ocean-going vessels
• Knowledge of ship recycling procedures and their environmental impact
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is considered a strong advantage
• Strong management and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate at a managerial level
• Near-expert level knowledge of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and the European carbon market
• EU driving licence
• Strong Python skills with proven experience in automation, data analysis, or engineering-related applications
