Senior Buyer - Gothenburg

We are looking for a consultant with strong experience in both strategic and operational procurement who can quickly contribute within an established international organization.

The assignment is within a global procurement team responsible for sourcing and supplier management of technical components related to visibility systems, including lighting, mirrors, and washer/wiper solutions. The primary focus of this role is within the lighting area, involving close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders across multiple functions.

The position is based in Gothenburg and offers the opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment together with teams within Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support sourcing activities within the assigned commodity area

• Lead commercial negotiations and contribute to supplier cost optimization initiatives

• Manage supplier performance, cost development, and risk-related topics

• Act as the procurement interface towards engineering and project organizations

• Support procurement governance, processes, and continuous improvements

• Ensure alignment with established purchasing procedures and ways of working

Requirements

• Several years of experience within strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably from automotive or other industrial sectors

• Strong commercial mindset and solid negotiation skills

• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and project teams

• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach

• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a consultant assignment

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
