Data Center Technician / Smart Hands Engineer

PBT Data Networks Nordic AB is looking for Data Center Technicians / Smart Hands Engineers for current and upcoming customer assignments in Sweden.

About the role

You will work on-site in Data Center environments with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure.

Typical tasks include:

• Rack and stack of servers and network equipment
• Hardware installation and replacement
• Hardware break/fix and troubleshooting
• Copper and fiber cabling
• Cable tracing, labeling and documentation
• Smart Hands / Remote Hands support
• Server and network equipment installation
• Hardware migration and decommissioning
• Supporting remote engineering teams
• Following customer security and safety procedures

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• Good understanding of computer and server hardware
• Basic networking knowledge
• Experience with IT hardware installation or troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of copper and fiber cabling
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous Data Center experience is highly desirable.

Meritorious

Experience with the following is considered an advantage:

• HPE, Dell, Cisco or Supermicro servers
• Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet or Palo Alto networking
• Linux
• VMware or other virtualization platforms
• Hardware break/fix
• Smart Hands / Remote Hands
• Structured cabling and fiber
• CompTIA, CCNA, CDCP or similar certifications
• Valid Swedish or EU B driving licence (B-körkort)

Employer: PBT Systems AB

Location: Stockholm and other locations in Sweden depending on assignment

Employment: Full-time, part-time or project-based depending on customer requirements

Working hours: Daytime, evenings, nights or weekends may occur

Start date: As agreed

Salary: According to agreement
