We are seeking an experienced Integrated Construction Operations Manager to lead and coordinate key construction functions, ensuring seamless execution across Construction Interface, SIMOPs, Heavy Lift & Transport, and Roads Management. The role requires strategic oversight, risk mitigation, and strong collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Oversight of Key Functions
- Manage teams responsible for Construction Interface, SIMOPs, Heavy Lift & Transport, and Roads.
- Lead coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize workflow and resolve conflicts.
- Oversee simultaneous construction operations (SIMOPs) to ensure safety, efficiency, and risk control.
- Supervise heavy lift and crane operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project schedules.
- Direct site logistics, temporary road planning, and access control to optimize material and equipment flow.
- Provide fire & rescue consultation, ensuring emergency preparedness and compliance with fire safety planning.
2. Construction Interface Management
- Develop strategies to manage physical and information interfaces between construction disciplines and contractors.
- Align construction schedules to avoid delays and safety risks.
3. SIMOPs Coordination & Risk Mitigation
- Oversee risk assessments and mitigation plans to ensure safe concurrent construction activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE and Simultaneous Operations Safety Standards.
4. Heavy Lift & Transport Execution
- Supervise crane operations and lifting logistics, ensuring compliance with Swedish transport and safety regulations.
- Oversee transport logistics for safe and efficient movement of heavy materials and equipment.
5. Fire & Rescue Planning & Compliance
- Provide fire safety consultation to HSE teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
6. Digital Optimization & Data-Driven Decision-Making
- Implement digital tools and analytics to enhance coordination and efficiency across all construction operations.
- Develop dashboards for real-time progress tracking, KPIs, and operational transparency.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
- Act as a primary liaison between Site Execution, Engineering, Contractors, and HSE groups.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
8. Budget & Resource Optimization
- Oversee budget control, optimizing resource allocation, contractor performance, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure financial objectives align with project goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years of leadership experience managing complex construction operations.
- Experience working in multi-contractor, multi-interface environments.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Expertise in risk mitigation, conflict resolution, and operational planning.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English (Swedish or other European languages are a plus).
